Volksmarch

Volksmarch (people’s march or walk) is a non-competitive, organized hike that encourages people to connect with nature and each other.

Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Our Volksmarch includes local historical stops along the walk and a medal, one per registration, upon completion.

This year brings a new dimension to the event, one that will continue the Volksmarch’s salute to Lindenhurst’s German heritage. Tom Lorch, proprietor of the Village Lanterne, will offer registered adult Volkmarchers who have successfully completed the Volksmarch a Brat and a Beer for $10 at the Village Lantern following the completion of the Volksmarch.
